At Durrie Vision, everything matters! Your time, experience, and results are as important to us as they are to you. We seek to provide a unique experience where you are greeted with enthusiasm, taken care of in a timely fashion, and receive expert care throughout the process. Especially with something as personal and important as your eyes, ensuring your entire experience from consultation to surgery is both exceptional and comfortable, is critical. Our clinic, staff, exams, and surgery center are all designed with this philosophy in mind.
Vision for a Lifetime
We believe in restoring your vision now and maintaining it for a lifetime. We are your eye doctors. Patients regularly return to Durrie Vision for an AOA exam every 2-3 years to maintain ocular health and to learn what options they may need in the future to maintain their best vision for a lifetime.
Determining whether an individual’s eyes are healthy and optimized for exceptional surgical results is our number one priority. By investing in the most advanced diagnostic technology available, our surgeons are able determine not only if a patient is a candidate for a vision correction procedure, but what is the best procedure and the best treatment technology for them.
This approach greatly benefits the patient as not every procedure, laser and IOL technology is ideal for all eyes. A quick overview of the multiple technologies available at Durrie Vision:
Exceptional results begin with an exceptional exam. To determine candidacy for a procedure, each patient experiences our Advanced Ocular Analysis. Using cutting-edge diagnostic technologies to visualize and analyze the entire ocular system, the AOA provides an assessment of everything from the tear film and cornea in the front of the eye, to the natural internal lens and the retina/optic nerve located in the back of the eye. Based on this analysis we can determine the best vision correction procedure and technology for the individual patient.
Beyond the extensive diagnostics and in-depth look at the overall health of the eye, the main experience unique to our exam is the one-on-one consultation each patient has with one of our world-class surgeons. This gives you an opportunity to discuss your results and learn how the technology applies specifically to your eyes.
Refractive surgery is a sub-specialty of ophthalmology just like retina, glaucoma and pediatrics. In addition to their ophthalmology residency training, the surgeons at Durrie Vision have completed an additional one-year fellowship training program to sub-specialize in refractive surgery. This narrow field of focus has enabled our doctors to refine the techniques and understand the technology better than those with a broader area of focus.
Many associate refractive surgery with LASIK but we offer several vision correction procedures that include SBK (Advanced LASIK), ASA (Advanced PRK), Corneal Inlays (KAMRA), Phakic IOLs, SMILE, Cross-linking, Refractive Lens Exchange and Refractive Cataract Surgery. As a purely refractive surgery practice, our experience and diagnostic technology allows our surgeons to determine not only if a patient is a candidate for vision correction surgery but to also customize the ideal procedure for each individual patient. Our focus is to select the procedure that provides not only the best outcome today but also for the future.
As leaders in the field, the doctors at Durrie Vision have been instrumental in the research and development (200+ FDA clinical trials) of almost all of the procedures and technology in refractive surgery for the past 30 years. This provides our surgeons extensive understanding and experience performing new procedures and utilizing new technologies during the 5-10 year FDA study process prior to their approval when other surgeons can start using them.
